Summer Employment Opportunities: Strathspey Performing Arts Centre

Audio Visual & Sales Coordinator

SPAC is seeking a post-secondary student to join its team for 8 weeks this summer.  Student must be returning to school in the Fall of 2017.  The position is a 35 hour/week position, 8 weeks, at $11/hour.  This position is based out of the box office at Strathspey Performing Arts Centre.

Tasks related to this position will include:
Box Office Management
Data Base Exploration
Community Outreach
Audio Visual Development

The successful candidate will possess the following skill sets and characteristics:

  • Training and demonstrated experience in IT, particularly related to video editing, audio and computer software in general.
  • Applied knowledge of ADOBE software
  • Customer Service expertise
  • Strong aptitude for mathematics and/or accounting methods
  • Demonstrated interest in community
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Extremely good organizational skills

Audio Visual Developer – Strathspey Connections

Strathspey Performing Arts Centre is seeking a qualified individual to coordinate a detailed Audio Visual program that will be used in conjunction with the upcoming Strathspey summer production called Strathspey Connections.  Strathspey Connections will tell the story of the Gael and will run Thursday evenings at SPAC for 5 weeks beginning Thursday, July 20th.

This is a contract position which could last between 4 – 8 weeks.  The number of hours worked per week is flexible, to a maximum of 20, hourly rate will be $20/hour.

The successful applicant must have the ability to work independently, have a strong skill set related to audio visual development including knowledge of video / photo editing and experience in video editing software.  Knowledge of Scottish Gaelic history will be  considered an asset.

Project Manager – Strathspey Connections

Strathspey Performing Arts Centre is seeking a qualified individual to work as Project Manager in preparation for its upcoming Strathspey summer production called Strathspey Connections.  Strathspey Connections will tell the story of the Gael and will run Thursday evenings at SPAC for 5 weeks beginning Thursday, July 20th.

This is a contract position lasting 8 weeks.  The number of hours worked per week is flexible, to a maximum of 25, hourly rate will be $20/hour.

The successful applicant must be able to multi-task, having the ability to coordinate various program pieces in a manner that will allow for the successful creation and delivery of Strathspey Connections.  Project Coordinator will be responsible for developing an action plan related to marketing & promotional, technical including audio and lighting, audio visual component integration, musical research and provide overall support to Executive Director and Strathspey staff to ensure a professional and quality delivery of this Canada 150 summer production.  Support related to project budget management will also be necessary.
