- Waiting For The Parade, a light drama set in Calgary in the 1940s, depicts a snapshot of the lives of 5 women during World War 2. Their lives are redefined with a new purpose as they do their part for the war effort by entertaining the troops, preparing first aid and food kits, and coping with the new reality of life while their men went overseas, or stayed behind. Together, they laugh and cry, fight and dance, and build unexpected friendships. Their journey together shows that the walking wounded are not always at the front.
